The Creation of Woman can be found in Genesis chapter 2.

Plot SummaryEdit

All of God's work was finished and he rested on the seventh day. God blessed the seventh day and sanctified (1) it because he had rested on that day from his work.

Every plant and herb were in the earth before they grew, but God had not caused it to rain yet, so, God sent a mist up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground.

God formed Adam from the dust of the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and Adam became a living soul. God put Adam in a garden eastward in Eden which he had planted.

God made every tree that was pleasant to the sight and was good for food grow from the ground, the tree of life was in the midst of the garden, and so was the tree of knowledge of good and evil

A river went out of Eden to water the garden. Once the river left the garden, it split into four different heads.

The first river is named Pison, it surrounds the land of Havilah completely which contains gold. The gold in Havilah is good, there is also bdellium and onyx there. The second river is named Gihon, it surrounds the land of Ethiopia completely. The third river is named Hiddekel, it flows to the east of the land of Assyria. The fourth river is named Euphrates.

God put Adam into the garden of Eden to dress and keep it (2). God commanded Adam saying, "Of every tree thou mayest freely eat: but of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."

God said, "It is not good that man be alone; I will make him a help meet (3) for him."

Out of the ground, god formed everything on Earth and brought them to Adam so that he could name them, what Adam called every animal, that was what the name of their species was. Adam named all the animals, but there was no help meet for him.

God caused a deep sleep to come upon Adam, and he took one of Adam's ribs and closed up his flesh. From Adam's rib, God created woman and led her unto Adam.

Adam said, "This is now of my bones and flesh of my flesh, she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they shall be one flesh."

Both the man and the woman were naked, but were not afraid.
